Norwich front garden design

Front garden stone wall

We were asked to come up with a front garden design for a house in Norwich that solved the maintenance problems. The garden was a steeply sloping patch of rough grass next to the road. Another problem area was the steeply sloping drain which the soil regularly covered.

The garden needed to be well draining to cope with any rain water that ran down the road in the cul de sac.

The property had been on the market for a number of months and the owners wanted to attract a buyer so the front garden needed to be a selling point.

We designed in stone walling in terraces to cope with the slope problem. The terraces were covered in a permeable membrane and stone chippings. They were planted with a few shrubs and perennials for colour. We removed the bank of soil next to the drain cover to allow for free access. And put in a new fence between the drive and the neighbours property.

We returned three weeks later and met the new owners who had seen us working on the garden and decided that it would be just what they were looking for.
