We recently completed a garden in BInham, Norfolk with beautiful surrounding countryside of open farmland with far reaching views. The garden is set some distance from the house and was an unused space covered in weeds.

The client brief was to create a large lawn in a country cottage style garden that would make the most of the views. We also were set the challenge to re-use a pile of very old sleepers and two metal water containers.

We build a raised deck to sit and take in the views of both the countryside and the garden with surrounding borders of cottage style planting. We are looking forward to returning and seeing the planting when it has matured. The plants chosen will give year round colour and fill out creating lush perennial borders.

We re-used the sleepers to create a raised bed with new sleepers at the back and the old rustic style one to the front. The metal containers have been repurposed as still water features and are set in the borders surrounded by plants.

A lush new lawn sets off the mosaic paths created using slate chips and cobbles. These paths also surround the garden following and covering up an ugly old concrete path.

A weed membrane and wood chip help to control weed growth but also finish the look.[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
